The meaning of Easter.
I sat at my desk this morning in utter amazement,.... stunned by the fact that a mass email was sent out to our staff regarding a web site that shares the meaning of Easter in the form of a cartoon book (along with other Internet Easter activities), with the intent of teachers sharing it with their students.
The story is about animal friends on Easter morning. One animal sees all the different animals dressed in their new clothes and thinks that is what Easter is about (new clothing). Thank goodness though, his friend straightens him out and tells him that Easter is about more than just new clothes,... it's about summer coming, the warm weather, and joy and love in the air. The first little animal was so excited to realize that Easter is about more than just dressing up in new clothes, he runs off to share the good news with everyone. The End.
You probably remember the expression, 'Missed the Boat." Well, sad to say there's not even water around on this one. Sadly though, there may be some teachers out there who actually use this as a lesson about Easter.

Well, you know, Jesus did just die for us, then rise to give us a home in eternity, but, clothes sure are nice.
Thanks to God for great teachers who know what really matters, and what needs to be taught.
Love,
Shanna
It's a shame we don't get a shiny new car each Easter.
Have you ever tried talking to the Easter Bunny about getting a "new" car?
Seriously, we are thankful that you have known and still know the true importance of Easter.
God Bless You and your Family,
Love,
Dad & Mom
Amen! Dave-talking to the Easter bunny about a new car may not be a bad idea. Where would he hide the basket to hold it?
Thanks for the reminder of important things in life. Thank God for Jesus and his sacrifice for all of us.

Glad that WE know the true meaning of Easter ... somehow, you need to share that with your students. We learned at chapel on Friday that Security is spelled J-E-S-U-S
Amen,

They certainly did Miss the Boat!. Glad that you know better. We need more teachers like you! No wonder your Mom and Dad are proud of you!

Wow. I don't even know what to say. This Easter explanation goes right along with what some people believe Christmas is all about - Santa Claus bringing presents - thus neglecting to acknowledge that is the celebration of the birth of Jesus.
